The Battle of Lalsot was fought in 1787 between the Marathas and the combined forces of Jaipur and Jodhpur.

The Naval Battle of Calicut, involving the Maratha navy and the Portuguese, occurred in 1752. This was a significant engagement during the period of Maratha naval expansion.

Ahmed Shah Abdali in his fourth invasion to India entered Delhi and installed Allamgir II as Mughal emperor, while the real power was given to Rohilla Chief Najib Ad Dwallah for his help to Ahmed Shah. Under these circumstances the Mughal Wazir Imad Ul Mulk asked for Maratha assistance to ward of Abdali's dominance. Marathas eager to increase their influence in Northern India readily marched to Delhi and with help of Imad ul Mulk defeated Rohilla chief. This made Marthas the De facto rulers of Delhi and laid foundation for their further conquest of Punjab and Multan.

Shivaji Maharaj is renowned for pioneering and utilizing guerrilla warfare, known as Ganimi Kava, to overcome larger, conventional armies. This strategy relied on speed, surprise, and terrain knowledge.

The Battle of Laswari was a major engagement during the Second Anglo-Maratha War, fought on November 1, 1803. It resulted in a decisive victory for the British forces under General Lake.

The Battle of Narela took place in 1757, involving the Marathas and the forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali. It was part of the broader conflicts in North India during the mid-18th century.

The Battle of Koregaon (Bhima Koregaon) occurred on January 1, 1818, between the British East India Company and the Peshwa faction of the Maratha Confederacy.

Murarbaji Deshpande was the brave commander who defended the fort of Purandar against the Mughal forces led by Diler Khan. He fought valiantly until his death.

The returning army of Marathas was intercepted by allies of Mughals (Rajputs, Nizam of Hyedrabad, Nawab of Oudh and Bhopal) on call of help from Mughals. The combined forces of Mughal Allies were defeated by Marathas in this Battle of Bhopal. This exposed the weakness of Mughal empire and strengthened the position of Marathas.

The Battle of Farrukhabad took place in 1804 during the Second Anglo-Maratha War, where British forces defeated the Maratha army.

The Battle of Panchgaon occurred in 1775, which was part of the early stages of the First Anglo-Maratha War.
