happened between 1943 and 1970. The significant increase in agricultural

and use of high yielding variety seeds and chemical fertilizers is called Green
Revolution. The father of Green Revolution was Norman Borlaug. In India, Mr. M
S Swaminathan is called the father of Green Revolution because of his
contribution in the field of food security.
