Ringworm is a skin infection which is characterized by the formation of a ring-like a pattern in the rash. It is caused by the fungal species name Tenia. The ringworm infection can occur in different parts of the body like feet, armpits, scalp, thighs, groin, etc.

Athlete's foot and ringworm are caused by fungus. They are collectively known as tinea. Ringworm is caused by a worm known as ringworm. It is characterised by ring-like red patches on the skin.
