Under Chandrasekhar Azad's leadership, Hindustan Republican Association changed its title to Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.

On 15 August 2008, an 18-foot tall bronze statue of Singh was installed in the Parliament of India, next to the statues of Indira Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose.  A portrait of Singh and Dutt also adorns the walls of the Parliament House. 

In the historical context of Punamchand Pandya, he and his friends were responsible for breaking the statue of Laji, which was viewed as a symbol of British authority.

This famous slogan, which translates to 'We will face the enemy's bullets, we are free and will remain free', is attributed to the revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad.

The statue erected by the British in Punamchand Pandya's village was named Laji.

Alfred Park in Allahabad was renamed Chandrashekhar Azad Park to honor the revolutionary who died there during an encounter with the British police.

As a form of humiliation and control, the British authorities made it compulsory for the villagers to move around the statue of Laji on the day of Holi.

The mastermind behind the Kakori train dacoity was Ramprasad Bismil. Other members included Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajendra Lahiri, Chandrashekhar Azad, Sachindra Bakshi, Keshab Chakravarty, etc. The robbery took place at the town of Kakori, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Lucknow. The robbery was executed to get money for weaponry and carry out revolutionary activities against the British.

Hindustan Republic Association was a revolutionary organization of India established in 1924 in East Bengal by Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Narendra Mohan Sen and Pratul Ganguly. Later in 1925 , Bhagat Singh insisted adding the word Socialist in the organisations name and then it came to be known as Hindustan Socialist Republican association.

Bhagat Singh and B.K. Dutt threw a bomb while shouting 'Inquilab Zindabad' in the Central Legislative Assembly on 8 April 1929 against the passage of the Public Safety Bill and the Trade Disputes Bill which would reduce the civil liberties of citizens. The aim was not to kill but to make themselves heard and use the trials to make people familiar with their movement and ideology. 

This famous quote regarding the immortality of ideas despite the destruction of the body is attributed to Bhagat Singh.

Indian home rule society was an Indian organisation founded in London in 1905 that sought to promote the cause of self-rule in British India. It was established by Shyamji Krishna Verma along with Bhikaji Cama, S.R. Rana and Lala Lajpat Rai. It found immense support from Indian students and other Indians in Britain.

The poem 'Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna' was written by Ramprasad Bismil, a prominent revolutionary who was part of the Hindustan Republican Association.

Bhagat Singh born on 28 September 1907 was an Indian nationalist considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. He attended Dayanand Anglo Vedic High School in Lahore, which was operated by Arya Samaj. 

While in prison, Bhagat Singh wrote the essay 'Why I am an Atheist' to explain his philosophical stance and address accusations of vanity regarding his lack of belief in God.

Chandrashekhar Azad famously vowed never to be captured alive by the British. During his final encounter in Alfred Park, he shot himself after running out of ammunition.

Punamchand Jayshankar Pandya was from Meghraj village in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat.

Lala Lajpat Rai died due to lathi charge while leading the anti-Simon Commission demonstration on 30 October 1928. To avenge his death, Bhagat Singh, Raj guru, Jai Gopal and Sukh Dev conspired to kill the police chief, Scott but instead killed the ASP – J. P. Saunders. Later Bhagat Singh was trialed and sentenced to death in this Lahore Conspiracy Case when he was captured after throwing bomb in Delhi Assembly.

Chandra Shekhar Azad was one of the most prominent Indian revolutionaries. He was one of the most important revolutionaries who reorganised the Hindustan Republican Association under the new name of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) after the death of its founder Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil. He led the organisation as commander- in- chief. He dreamt of an independent India based on socialist principles and was fearless in his approach.

Singh along with Rajguru and Sukhdev was hanged on 23 March 1931 in the Lahore jail. India Post issued a postal stamp on him in 1967 in India commemorating his birth anniversary.
