The resources which can be reproduced by physical, chemical and mechanical process is called renewable resources

Renewable resources: These are the sources which can be replenished over a period of time. Example is forest wood because wood can be grown by reforestation.

Developed resources: Resources that surveyed for utilisation and are being used currently are called developed resources. Example: Petroleum in Mumbai High

Based on ownership the resources are classified as individual, community, national and international resources.

Public Park is an example of community owned resource. Community resources are owned by a community instead of an individual.

Resources that exist but cannot be utilized due to a lack of current technology are classified as stock resources.

Geothermal energy is the energy that is formed due to the differences in the temperature of core of earth and its surface which results in continuous conduction of temperature to the surface from core.

The energy thus generated is called geothermal energy. This can also be derived from heating ground water.

Some examples of renewable energy sources are solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, and biomass energy. These types of energy sources are different from fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas.
They can never be depleted.

A renewable resource is a resource which can be used repeatedly because it is replaced naturally. Examples are: oxygen, fresh water, solar energy, timber, and biomass. Renewable resources may include goods or commodities such as wood, paper and leather, because their sources are renewable.

The most of the hydro-electric power is generated and used in areas of large rivers. Because as we know the hydro-electric power is generated with the help of flowing water or falling water.

• Bhakra Dam
  has ten power generators with five on each side. Generators for the left power
  house were originally supplied by Hitachi, Japan and upgraded to the present
  capacity by Sumitomo, Hitachi and Adritz. Generators for the right side were
  originally supplied by Soviet Union and later upgraded to the present capacity
  by Russia. The two power houses have a total capacity of 1325 MW. The left
  power house contain 3 x 108 MW and 2 x 126 MW Francis turbines while the right
  has 5 x 157 MW.
• The power
  generated at Bhakra Dam is distributed among partner states of Punjab, Haryana,
  Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Delhi.
• Three
  additional power plants are on the two canals Nangal Hydel Channel and Anandpur
  Sahib Hydel Channel that originate from Nangal dam. Their generation capacities
  are : Ganguwal - 77.65 MW, Kotla - 77.65 MW and Anandpur - 134 MW.

• Biomass is an organic matter derived from living organisms. Biomass can be used as a source of energy and most often refers to plants or plant-based materials that are not used for food or feed, and are specifically called lignocellulosic biomass.
• Sugarcane and Jatropha can produce Biomass energy.
