Study of population migration and its impact - class-IX

Basically People migrate for good job. They get good accommodation also. But due to different language their children never get good school or faces many problem in local language.

People migrate with their family to other city for job or education purpose. Government helps them to get admission for their children in good school. In some cases government open new school of different language for migrated children. 

Due to lack of education and low production in land the labour class are helpless and ready to migrate from village to city. The main purpose is to get good job by which they earn good and live comfortable life.

Mumbai is economic capital of our country. There are maximum industries, which give good opportunity of jobs. Life style of Mumbai is very high with good education facilities. So only people prefer to migrate Mumbai.

The main drawback of migration is the increase in unemployment with increase in city crowd. Due to migration for one job there are many application which increased the unemployment. Every one want to migrate to big city for good life style which increase in crowd also.

The main reason of increase in city crowd is increase in migration from small town to city. Due to lack of production people migrate from their home town to city.

Migrated people increase the crowd of city. Normally any city constructed on the basis of population. If population increases, accommodation problem increases. Traffic issues increases. Unemployment increases. To solve all these problem, government develop new industries, new accommodation, new school for migrated people.

For migration usually people prefer big city. Where they get good job as well as good life style to live. Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore are the main city where people prefer to migrate.

People who migrate from home town or village to new city are not happy to do this. The reason of migration is mainly low production in their land due to which they were not able to afford healthy life. So they take decision to shift in city for good job and good income.

Mainly government is responsible for increase in migration. Due to lack of facilities in farming people unable to get good production. If our government provide good facilities with proper knowledge of farming people never wish to migrate. In small town if our government provide good job than why people migrate to big city.

Migrations change the number, distribution and composition of population in both the areas of departure and the area of arrival.

The general trend of international migration is from the Less developed nations to more developed nations.

Population is a dynamic phenomenon. The
numbers, distribution and composition of the
population are constantly changing. This is the
influence of the interaction of the three processes,
namely-births, deaths and migrations. Migration is the movement of
people across regions and territories. Migration
can be internal (within the country) or
international (between the countries).
Internal migration does not change the size
of the population, but influences the distribution
of population within the nation. Migration plays
a very significant role in changing the composition
and distribution of population.

A large population becomes a productive asset, often called human capital, when there is investment in education, training, and healthcare. This allows individuals to contribute more effectively to the economy.

Internal migration refers to the movement of people from one place to another within the borders of the same country. This distinguishes it from international migration, which involves crossing national boundaries.

People, generally are emotionally attached to
their place of birth. But millions of people leave
their places of birth and residence. There could
be variety of reasons. These reasons can be put
into two broad categories : (i) push factor, these
cause people to leave their place of residence or
origin; and (ii) pull factors, which attract the
people from different places.
In India people migrate from rural to urban
areas mainly due to poverty, high population
pressure on the land, lack of basic infrastructural
facilities like health care, education, etc. Apart
from these factors, natural disasters such as,
flood, drought, cyclonic storms, earthquake.

Following measures can be useful in reducing the problem of migration:

The 'Gypsies' are a group of people found in Central Asia. But, the original home of Gypsies was in India (Western Rajasthan and Punjab).Gypsies’ are an ethnic group, which for unknown reasons took to a wandering life style during the late middle ages.

Shifting of residential place from one place to another is called Migration. A migrant means one who has shifted from his birth place and settled in another place. There are many reasons for migration. Of the people who have migrated from one place to another,approximately 50%  do it for the purpose of marriage.
