The Sambhar Salt Lake, India's largest inland salt lake, is located 96 km southwest of the city of Jaipur and 64 km northeast of Ajmer along National Highway 8 in Rajasthan. it surrounds the historical Sambhar Lake Town.

Dal is a lake in Srinagar (Dal Lake is a misnomer as Dal in Kashmiri means lake), the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The urban lake, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is named the “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir” or “Srinagar’s Jewel”.The lake is also an important source for commercial operations in fishing and water plant harvesting.

Gobind Ballabh Pant Sagar located in Sonebhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, is the biggest man-made lake of India. The lake is created by the reservoir of Rihand Dam. Similarly, Dhebar Lake, which is also called as Jaisamand Lake and is located in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, is the second biggest man-made lake.

Chilka Lake is a brackish water lagoon located on the east coast of India, situated between the deltas of the Mahanadi and Godavari rivers.

Wular Lake in Kashmir is a tectonic lake formed by the subsidence of the earth's crust, often described as being formed by terminal morainic dams in geological contexts.

There are total six salt water lakes in India. Sambhar lake of Rajasthan is the largest one with around 80–89 sq. miles. Pangong Tso is larger than Sambhar lake.

Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India and is famous for its phumdis, located in the state of Manipur.

Loktak is the largest freshwater lake of North - East India. It is located near Moirang in Manipur. It is famous for the phumids floating over it. Due to this, it is also called a floating lake. This is the only floating lake in the world.

Sambhar is a saltwater lake which is located in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. This lake receives water from five rivers Medtha, Samaod, Mantha, Rupangarh, and Khari and Khandela.

Wular is in Jammu and Kashmir (A-4), Chilka is in Odisha (B-1), Loktak is in Manipur (C-3), and Nakki is in Rajasthan (D-2). This matches option B.
