Where would you be least likely to find a pill bug?
We are all a little scared or disgusted of bug such a spiders and beetles. But the one bug that almost everyone adores is the pill bug. If you pick one up it will roll up into a tight ball to protect itself. That is why it is called the �roly-poly�.
This little gray or brown bug can be found everywhere in the United States but the desert. Thanks to lawn sprinklers they can survive in dry places like California too.
Pill bugs have something in common with snakes. Like them they shed their skin when it gets too small. Pill bugs go through this process, called �molting�, about five times until they are full-grown. They are like owls in the sense that they are nocturnal. They wander around at night and look for food. Pill bugs aren�t just nice they are interesting ones too.
