Sodium-potassium (Na^+_/K⁺) pump is found in all animal cells and is an integral membrane of glycoprotein. It breaks down a molecule of ATP to ADP and phosphate (Pi) and uses the energy released to bring two K⁺ ions into the cell and export three Na⁺ ions.
