Verb Usage

 Don't and didn't are followed only by 'have', not by has or had. Hence, option 2 is correct.

Here team being a collective noun is singular. Hence "has" is used.

 'Rice and curry', used in conjunction is always 'singular'.

Sink and float are used for inanimate things. People drown. For third person singular we need to use 's' with drown in the present tense. Hence' drown is incorrect and drowned is the answer.

 'Put an end'

 It decreases or mars beauty. Singular nouns (fatness) need singular verbs.

 The use of  'as well as' dictates use of singular verb 'pays' to go with singular subject 'wisdom'.

 'Slow and steady' is indicative of one quality; hence singular verb 'wins'.

 Radio is broadcast; television is telecast. The past form of telecast is the same.

'Fell asleep' is indicative of simple past tense. 'Lay' is the second (past) form of 'lie'. 'Laid' is the second form of 'lay' or keep (not applicable here). 

 Armed forces is a plural noun; hence plural helping verb 'were'.

 Spectacles is plural noun. 

 It is the hall (main subject) that was three-quarters full (in the past).

Here, the verb relates to the plural subject 'the greatest writers', and the sentence is of present tense (Kamudhi is).
So, plural verb 'have' will be used.

 'Bedridden' comes before 'when I visited'. If the subsequent is in simple past, the event before an event in simple past has to be in past perfect tense.

 Whenever there is a reference to a point of time in the past (last year), we use simple past tense.

 This is a simple present tense. Since 'does' has already been used with singular third person, we use first form of the verb, without 's'. 

 Since there is a reference to definite time in the past (1992), we use simple past tense (was).

 Although the selling occurred before he became a famous inventor, the selling is not a one-time event. The sense conveyed is 'he used to sell'. Hence, we use simple past 'sold'.

 There are two events in the past (her reaching and the train coming). The earlier event (her reaching) will use the past perfect tense of the verb (had reached).

 Here is the case of a conditional sentence (if). 'Could' conveys ability in the past.

 He left at some point in the past. I had seen him before that.

 The sentence leads from some period in the past to some point of time in the future. So, there is part completion (have been), part continuation (editing) and part future (will). 

The present perfect tense requires the auxiliary verb 'has' followed by the past participle of the verb. The past participle of 'go' is 'gone'.

 'Been' can only be preceded by has/have/had. 'Ever since he entered college' leads tothe present.

 Simple past is used in the sense of 'I used to'.

 'You should better' means it would be better for you.
