Change of Voice and Narration

In passive voice, subject (who) becomes (by whom). In interrogative sentences, verb comes before the subject. Hence, option 4.

<span style="color:" red;="">The noun clause (milk) remains unchanged; only the verb clause (tastes aweet) needs to be changed. Case of present simple tense. Hence, option 2 is the correct choice.<o:p>

Here, the work done is 'singular'. Hence, 'is' is required. Moreover, in interrogative sentences, we put verb  before the subject. Thus, option 3.

This is the case of an advise (imperative sentence). 

While changing the voice, we interchange the respective places of the subject and the object. In passive voice, we always use the third form of verb with the helping verb. In the given sentence, article 'the' is not used for fortune. Hence, option 4 is correct.              <o:p>

Whenever the subject is missing in the passive voice, we provide the same while changing into the active voice. Indefinite pronoun 'someone' is the correct subject supplied. Hence, option 4.

This is the case of an order (imperative sentence). Hence, option 3 is correct.

<b style="color:" red;="">'Please' means that this is the case of a request. This request is made to the second person (you). Hence, option 3.

Case of simple present tense. So, the auxiliary required is 'is'. 'Have been' is correct here. Hence, option 1.

This is the case of an advise; and to give advise, we use the modal 'should'.

In imperative sentences (case of order), the usage of 'let' is preferred.

Noun clause (Hindi) will remain unchanged. Verb clause 'speak' will change to 'is spoken', as this is the case of present simple tense.

Case of imperative sentence. Generally, to change the narration (from direct to indirect), if the reported verb is in the past tense and the reported speech is in the present simple tense, we change the reported speech into simple past tense. But in cases where an action takes place at the same time on daily basis, the tense remains unchanged. Hence, option 2 is correct.

 For 'tommorow' we use 'the following day'. Modal 'must' will remain unchanged. 

If reported verb is in the past tense and reported speech is in the simple present tense, reported speech changes to simple past in indirect narration. 

In case of transitive verb, 'said to' becomes 'told'. It is the case of advice and thus, usage of modal 'should' is correct. 

If reported verb is in the past tense, and reported speech is also in the past simple, reported speech changes to past perfect tense in indirect narration. 'Bravo' is used to applaud someone. 

If reported verb is in the past tense and reported speech is in the simple present tense, then reported speech changes to simple past tense in indirect narration.  

Case of exclamatory sentence (so, 'exclaimed with joy' should be used in case of happiness). Generally, to change the narration (from direct to indirect), if the reported verb is in the past tense and the reported speech is in the past simple tense, we change the reported speech into past perfect tense. Subject 'I' becomes 'he'.

This is a case of 'wish'. Hence, option 1. 

We do not 'enquire' somebody for marriage; we 'ask' for it.  If reported verb is in the past tense, and reported speech is in the future simple, 'will/shall' in the reported speech changes to 'would' in indirect narration. 

If reported verb is in the past tense and reported speech is in the present perfect, then reported speech changes to past perfect in indirect narration. 'Alas!' is used for 'sorrow or grief'.  

 If reported verb is in the past tense, and reported speech is in the future simple, 'will/shall' in the reported speech changes to 'would' in indirect narration. 'Alas!' is used for 'sorrow or grief'. 

We 'bid' good bye to somebody. Moreover, if the reported verb is in the simple past tense, 'may' in reported speech changes to 'might' in indirect narration. 

 For seeking help, we use 'crying'. Here, the girl is crying for our help, i.e. 'we should help her'. 

Case of imperative sentence, where one seeks for other's help. Word 'request' best fits the sentence. 

Case of optative sentence (wish or pray). If the reported verb is in the past tense, 'may' in reported speech changes to 'might' in indirect narration. 

 Case of imperative sentence, where one 'orders' his/her servant. 'To bring' is correct, but 'ordered to' is incorrect. 

If reported verb is in the past tense and reported speech is in the present perfect, reported speech changes to past perfect in indirect narration. 'Cried' means 'he exclaims with sorrow'.  

Case of optative sentence (wish or pray). If the reported verb is in the past tense, 'may' in reported speech changes to 'might' in indirect narration.
