The Indian National Flag follows a 2:3 ratio where the length is 1.5 times the width. This proportion is standardized according to the official specifications set by the Bureau of Indian Standards. The flag design must maintain these exact dimensions.

West Bengal has produced four Nobel laureates: Rabindranath Tagore (Literature, 1913), Mother Teresa (Peace, 1979), Amartya Sen (Economics, 1998), and Abhijit Banerjee (Economics, 2019). This makes it the Indian state with the highest number of Nobel Prize winners.

Harilal J. Kania served as the first Chief Justice of India from January 26, 1950, to November 10, 1951. G. Sankara Kurup, a renowned Malayalam poet, received the first Jnanpith Award in 1965 for his poetic work 'Odakkuzhal'. The Jnanpith Award is India's highest literary honor, given annually for outstanding contribution to Indian literature. T.S. Bandopadhaya, Uma Shankar Joshi, and Sumitranandan Pant were all Jnanpith recipients but not the first.

Devika Rani, a pioneering Indian actress and founder of Bombay Talkies, was the first recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1969. This award is India's highest honor in cinema, named after Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, the father of Indian cinema. The other options were all legendary filmmakers but received the award later.

India accounts for approximately 15-17% of the world's population, making it the second most populous country after China. This percentage has remained relatively stable over decades despite population growth, as the world population has also grown. The other options (21%, 7%, 12%) are either too high or too low for India's actual share.

Sukumar Sen, an Indian civil servant, served as the first Chief Election Commissioner of India from 1950 to 1958. INS Shalki was India's first indigenous submarine, commissioned in 1992 and built at Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai. It was a Type 1500 submarine developed as part of India's efforts to achieve self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
