Lexigraphy is the art of compiling dictionaries. A dictionary is the reference work that contains word definitions and meanings, which lexigraphy creates. Handbooks, directories, and yearbooks serve different purposes.

India: A Reference Annual is a yearbook published by the Government of India containing comprehensive information about the country. A yearbook is an annual publication of facts and statistics. A bibliography, gazetteer, and directory serve different purposes.

World of Learning is a directory of academic institutions and organizations worldwide. A directory is a list of names and addresses. Yearbooks, almanacs, and statistical sources are different types of reference works.

The word thesaurus comes from Greek, meaning treasure or storehouse. It was used to describe a collection of words arranged by meaning. Latin and Sanskrit have different roots.

B.N.B. (British National Bibliography) uses DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) for organizing books by subject. DDC is the most widely used classification system in British libraries. UDC, Colon, and LC are other systems.

The word lexicon comes from Greek lexicon meaning book of words or dictionary. It is related to the Greek word lexis meaning word. Roman and Latin have different etymological origins.

INSDOC (Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre) started publishing Indian Science Abstracts in 1965. This was an important resource for scientific literature in India. 1935, 1952, and 1964 are incorrect.

I.N.B. (Indian National Bibliography) covers 14 languages including all major Indian languages. This comprehensive coverage makes it a valuable resource for Indian publications. 12, 13, and 15 are incorrect.

British Books in Print is published annually as a comprehensive listing of books available in the UK. Annual means once per year. Weekly, fortnightly, and monthly are too frequent for such a comprehensive catalog.

S.R. Ranganathan wrote 'Prolegomena to Library Classification' as a foundational work on classification theory. This work established his revolutionary ideas about library classification systems.

Anthony Panizzi developed the 91 rules for the British Museum Catalogue, which became a cornerstone of modern cataloguing practice. His work established principles still used today.

In Colon Classification theory, a basic subject is defined as a subject that cannot be further analyzed into constituent isolate ideas. It represents the most fundamental, irreducible unit in the classification scheme. Compound subjects contain basic subjects plus isolates, while complex subjects are formed by combining multiple basic subjects with isolates.
