SAP ABAP Transaction Codes

SE38 is the ABAP program editor transaction code in SAP. It allows developers to create, modify, and execute ABAP reports and programs. This is one of the most frequently used transactions for ABAP development work.

ST22 is the ABAP runtime error analysis transaction in SAP. It displays and analyzes short dumps (runtime errors) that occur when ABAP programs terminate abnormally. Developers use it to debug and understand the causes of program crashes.

SE16 is the data browser transaction in SAP. It provides direct access to database tables, allowing users to view, browse, and sometimes edit table data. This is essential for data inspection and troubleshooting without writing ABAP code.

SE11 is the ABAP Dictionary transaction, the central tool for defining and maintaining data dictionary objects. It's used to create and modify tables, structures, data elements, domains, views, and other repository objects that define the data model.

SE84 is the Repository Information System transaction in SAP. It provides a navigable tree structure of all development objects including programs, function modules, classes, tables, and other repository objects. It helps developers find and understand relationships between objects.

SO10 is the standard text editor transaction in SAP. It's used to create and maintain standard texts (SO10 texts) that can be used across the system in forms, scripts, and other applications. These texts support formatting and can be multilingual.

SA38 is the transaction code for executing ABAP programs (reports) directly. Unlike SE38 which is for editing programs, SA38 is specifically for running them. Users can enter a program name and execute it with parameters if needed.

SE41 is the Menu Painter transaction in SAP. It's used to design and maintain GUI interfaces including menus, toolbars, and function key settings. This transaction defines the user interface elements that appear when users run transactions.

ST04 is the database performance monitor transaction in SAP. It provides real-time and historical statistics about database activity including buffer hit ratios, SQL statement performance, table access statistics, and overall database health metrics.

SE09 is the SAP transaction code for the Workbench Organizer, which is used to manage and transport development objects (like reports, programs, and tables) between SAP systems.
