 'Ante'  means before as in 'antenatal'  before birth; 'antemeridian' (am) before noon.

 'Arch' is chief  as in 'monarch' (mon - single + arch - chief).

 'Ambi' means two. Ambiguous might mean that two meanings can be drawn.

 Democracy ('demo' + cracy + rule of people: epidemic.

 'Circum' can be easily linked with circle or around.

 Benediction ('bene' - well/good + 'dict' - speak); 'benevolent' ('bene' - well/good + 'vol' - wish)

 'Dis' (apart) + 'par' (equal) = No equality. Likewise, disability

The root 'act-' comes from Latin 'agere' meaning 'to do' or 'to drive'. In 'active', it means doing something or being in action. 'Against' would be 'contra-', 'on' would relate to position, and 'over' would be 'super-' or 'over-'.

The prefix 'hexa-' means six. A hexagon has six sides, hexameter has six feet, and hexagon means six angles. Five is 'penta-', eight is 'octa-', and seven is 'hepta-'.

The prefix 'en-' means 'in' or 'to cause to be'. In 'enrage', it means to put someone into a state of rage. 'En-' indicates putting something into a condition or location, unlike 'beyond' (trans-), 'over' (super-), or 'apart' (se-).

The prefix 'hyper-' means 'over', 'excessive', or 'above'. Hypersensitive means excessively sensitive. Other examples: hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperactive (overactive). 'Against' is 'anti-', 'beyond' is 'trans-', and 'well' is 'bene-' or 'eu-'.
