Accession means the act of attaining or acquiring a high position or rank (like ascending a throne), formal agreement, or addition. Extension, Coronation, and Inflation all relate to growth, increase, or acquisition. Diminution means reduction or decrease, which is the opposite of accession.

Contiguous means touching, adjacent, or nearby in space or time. Neighbourly, Close, and Adjacent all express nearness or proximity. Remote is the opposite - meaning distant, far away, or not connected.

 All the words except discredited are similar in meaning to delegated. Discredited means to remove a person's credibility. 

Censure means to express strong disapproval or criticism, typically in a formal manner. Reprove has the same meaning - to reprimand or criticize someone. Commend (praise), Loud (volume), and Advocate (support) are not synonyms.

Hostile means unfriendly, antagonistic, or showing opposition. Opposed is the closest synonym - it means actively resisting or going against something. Irritable and Disrespectful are negative traits but not the same as hostile. Frail means physically weak.

Imperious means assuming power or authority without justification; domineering, arrogant, or overbearing. Dominating is the correct synonym - it means having power or influence over others. Impotent, Flabby, and Frail all suggest weakness, which is the opposite.

Squander means to waste something, especially money or time, in a reckless or foolish manner. 'Fritter away' is an idiom with the same meaning - to waste or dissipate resources gradually. Collect is the opposite. Consume is neutral (using something, not wasting). Sprained is an injury, unrelated.

Spurious means fake or false, which is directly synonymous with counterfeit.

The phrase 'to make greater' means to increase in size, amount, or degree. Augment is the correct answer - it means to make something larger or greater. Subdue means to conquer or quieten (opposite of making greater). Dilute means to weaken or reduce strength. Entail means to involve or necessitate.
