Statement 1 is correct. The geothermal energy of the Earth's crust originates from the original formation of the planet (20%) and from radioactive decay of minerals (80%). At the core of the Earth, most of the thermal energy is created by radioactive decay.

As of November 2012, the installed capacity of wind power in India is 18,321 MW, mainly spread across Tamil Nadu (7134 MW), Gujarat (2884 MW), Maharashtra (2310.70 MW), Karnataka (1730.10 MW) and Rajasthan (1524.70 MW).
