Vocabulary: Non-Living Objects in Our Surroundings

A schedule is a time table that shows when events or activities will happen. In a school context, it shows what classes occur at what times. It is different from a syllabus (course content) or notice board.

A vanity box is a box that holds cosmetics.

A hammer is a tool that is used to drive nails into wood or other surfaces.

An apron is a protective garment worn over the front of the body to keep clothes clean while cooking. It covers the chest and legs, tying at the waist and/or neck. It is not worn on the back and is not an overcoat or cap.
