Child Development and Pedagogy

Heredity affects mental development of any child. Parents with high IQ tend to have children with high IQ.

Children with IQ level 100 - 114 are upper normal children.
Children with IQ level 115 - 129 are bright children.
Children with IQ level 130 - 144 are gifted children.
Children with IQ level 145 - 159 are highly gifted children.
Children with IQ level 160 - above are profoundly gifted children. 

Lecture method plays a negligent role in changing the thinking of any child. So, it is very difficult to develop creativity through lecture method, which can be easily done by playing games, story- writing, experiment etc. 

Teacher is the only person who can make teaching understanding and interesting by using various teaching methods. 

Development of any child varies from age to age, which never remains the same at all ages. All other options have nothing to do with the development of any child.  

Integrated Child Development Services scheme was launched in 1975 in accordance to the National Policy for Children. 

There are 8 types of socialization, i.e. Primary socialization, Secondary socialization, Anticipatory socialization, Re-socialization, Organisational socialization, Group socialization, Gender socialization and Racial socialization.

Reinforcement plays a vital role in motivating students to move towards their goal.  

Class teacher has great influence on the development of students as students always take their teacher as a role model. 

Creativity is an art of modifying old things into new ones in some different ways by implementing new creative ideas. 

Boring topic always create indiscipline in the class as students do not pay any attention to the topic being taught in the class.

Creativity defines implementing new creative ideas. Therefore, a creative child should have creative thinking as well as behavior.

We know that today's education is totally based on child pshychology. So, a proper teaching is also possible, if a teacher adopts psychological methods to teach his students according to their psychology, which is further possible only if he knows the mental and internal capacity of his students. 

Backward children are those who are mentally sick and feel very difficult to adjust in any atmosphere/environment. 

Flexibility is an important factor of creativity because creative child needs free and flexible environment to express his new creative ideas.
