The Banihal Pass tunnel (Pir Panjal) is India's longest railway tunnel at 11.2 km, part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail project in Jammu & Kashmir. It's an engineering marvel through the Pir Panjal range. Karbude tunnel (Konkan Railway) was previously the longest at 6.5 km, but the Banihal tunnel surpassed it.
