Indira Point (formerly Pygmalion Point) in the Nicobar Islands is the southernmost point of India's territory, located at 6°45'N latitude. Kanyakumari is the southernmost point of mainland India, but not of the entire country. Kavaratti and Alapuzha are not the southernmost points.
