Karnataka is the largest coffee-producing state in India, accounting for approximately 70% of the country's total coffee production. The state's favorable climate with high altitude, adequate rainfall, and soil composition in regions like Chikmagalur, Coorg, and Hassan makes it ideal for coffee cultivation. While Kerala and Tamil Nadu also produce coffee, their production volumes are significantly lower than Karnataka's. Andhra Pradesh has minimal coffee production compared to these southern states.
