The Sierra Nevada mountain range is located in Spain, extending through the Andalusian region and including the famous Mulhacén peak. While California also has a Sierra Nevada range, the Spanish range is the original namesake. France has the Alps and Pyrenees, the US has multiple ranges, and Germany has different mountain systems.
