Mumbai Indians was the odd one out because they did not participate in CLT20 2009, unlike Delhi Daredevils, Deccan Chargers (winners), and Royal Challengers Bangalore who were all part of that tournament. The 2009 edition featured teams from India, Australia, South Africa, England, New Zealand, and West Indies, but Mumbai Indians didn't qualify.
