15th August (Independence Day), 26th January (Republic Day), and 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) are all national holidays in India. 26th December (Boxing Day) is not a national holiday in India, though it is celebrated as a holiday in some Commonwealth countries. This date does not hold the same national significance as the other three.
