Lord Rama's signature weapon is the bow and arrow. His bow was named Kodanda (or sometimes called the Kodanda bow). Throughout the Ramayana, Rama is repeatedly referred to as an archer of unmatched skill. He broke Shiva's bow to win Sita's hand in marriage, and his arrows played crucial roles in defeating Ravana and other demons. The bow symbolizes his royal warrior status.
