Brazil's official currency is the Real (BRL), introduced in July 1994 as part of the Plano Real economic stabilization plan. The Real successfully ended Brazil's period of hyperinflation and replaced the Cruzeiro. The other options are currencies of different countries: Euro (European Union), Dinar (several Middle Eastern and North African countries), and Canadian Dollar (Canada).
