Istanbul is a major city in Turkey, straddling Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. It's Turkey's largest city (though Ankara is the capital). Iraq (A), Iran (B), and Israel (D) are all Middle Eastern countries but Istanbul is not in any of them.
