The Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the world's oceans at approximately 11,034 meters, is located in the western Pacific Ocean east of the Mariana Islands. It is a crescent-shaped scar in the Earth's crust formed by the collision of two tectonic plates. The other oceans listed (Atlantic, Arctic, Indian) do not contain this trench.
