ILOVEYOU was a notorious computer worm that spread via email in 2000, causing billions of dollars in damage. It appeared as a love letter attachment and, when opened, would overwrite files and spread to all contacts. It was created by two Filipino programmers and is considered one of the most damaging viruses ever.
