The tibia is the larger of the two bones in the lower leg, commonly called the shin bone. It runs from the knee to the ankle and supports much of the body's weight during standing and walking. The skull contains facial and cranial bones, arms contain the humerus, radius, and ulna, and the face has no tibia bone.
