The world's oldest known living individual tree is Old Tjikko, a Norway spruce in Sweden, estimated at 9,550 years old. Methuselah is a very old bristlecone pine (about 4,850 years), but the Swedish spruce is significantly older. The Senator was a bald cypress destroyed in 2012.
