Table Tennis (Ping Pong) is China's most successful sport and is considered their national sport. China has dominated international table tennis since the 1950s, winning numerous Olympic and World Championship medals. The sport is widely played across the country and is part of the national sporting identity. Baseball, field hockey and rugby are not major sports in China.
