Dev D (2009) is Anurag Kashyap's modern adaptation of Devdas featuring all these plot elements: a girlfriend taking initiative in unconventional ways, drunken driving themes, an MMS scandal affecting a young woman, and the protagonist addressing his father informally (Chanda calls her father 'Sattu'). Kaminey, Dor, and Road Movie do not match this combination.
