The Dead Sea shore at the Israel-Jordan border is the lowest point on Earth's land surface at approximately 430 meters below sea level. Lake Assal in Djibouti is Africa's lowest point at -155m, and the Caspian Sea shore is also below sea level but higher than the Dead Sea.
