Voldemort made seven horcruxes: the diary, Marvolo Gaunt's ring, Slytherin's locket, Hufflepuff's cup, Ravenclaw's diadem, Nagini the snake, and Harry Potter (unintentional). The Basilisk was not a horcrux, and Gryffindor's sword was used to destroy horcruxes.
