Which demon causes eclipses?

In Hindu mythology, Rahu is the demon who causes eclipses by swallowing the sun (solar eclipse) or moon (lunar eclipse). According to legend, after the churning of the ocean, Rahu disguised himself as a god to drink the nectar of immortality, but was discovered by Vishnu who cut off his head. His immortal head (Rahu) and body (Ketu) continue to chase the sun and moon, causing eclipses when they catch them.
