In snooker, a 'snooker' occurs when the cue ball cannot hit the target ball directly because an opponent's ball blocks the path (called a 'ball'). The player must then either play a difficult escape shot or force the opponent to play. Options A, C, and D are incorrect descriptions - potting ability, equipment, or general game terms.
