Norman Borlaug (note: option spells it 'Bourlag') was an American agronomist who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970 for his contributions to the Green Revolution. He developed high-yield, disease-resistant wheat varieties that significantly increased food production in Mexico, Pakistan, and India, saving millions from starvation. He also received India's Padma Vibhushan in 2006.
