Jamsetji Tata (1839-1904) was the founder of the TATA Group. He established the company in 1868 and went on to build numerous industries pivotal to India's development, including textile mills, steel plants, and educational institutions. JRD Tata and Ratan Tata were later influential leaders who expanded the group.
