The Cancer Institute refers to the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is one of India's premier cancer research and treatment centers, established in 1952. Punjab has the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), and Pune has the National Centre for Cell Science, but neither is specifically a cancer institute.
