iPhone OS (now called iOS) was developed and is owned by Apple exclusively for their mobile devices. It is a proprietary operating system that runs on iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. Nokia uses/had different OS, Samsung uses Android or Tizen, and Motorola uses Android.
