Copper melts far too easily (about 1,085°C) and would vaporize almost instantly at filament temperatures. Bronze (a copper alloy) shares the same low-melting-point problem. Iron has a higher melting point than copper but still far below tungsten's, and it oxidizes/burns readily in air at high temperatures, making it unsuitable for a filament that must glow for thousands of hours.
