Blunder by Hitler
Attacking British in Africa
Failed prediction of Normandy landing
Invasion of England
Opening another front by attacking Russians
Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union (Operation Barbarossa, 1941) is widely considered his greatest strategic blunder. It violated the Nazi-Soviet Pact, forced Germany to fight a two-front war, and stretched German resources thin across a vast, harsh terrain. The Eastern Front became a graveyard for German military power. The North African campaign and failed Normandy predictions were significant but not as catastrophic as the Soviet invasion.
