How should parents handle teenagers?
Directions: Read the passage carefully and answer the question that follows.
There are three main stages in a person’s life; childhood, adolescence and adulthood. All these stages have their importance in life. Among all, there is one stage, which comes between childhood and adolescence, which is the teenage. It’s a very critical and energetic age because it can make or break an adolescent's chances for prosperity or destruction. Actually, a person during this age can hardly decide whether he is still a child or if he is an adult. That is why he thinks that his decisions are right and what he does is right. The sudden departure from childhood with feet proceeding towards adulthood develops restlessness in him. This restlessness can lead him to good as well as bad things depending upon the type of friends he has. If one handles it in the best way, then no one in his life can stop him from being successful. But in addition to this, the family’s right care and support will work a lot. The family must understand the psychological condition of the adolescent and must handle affairs in that way. This care during the teenaage years will lead a person to successful adulthood. This will in turn lead to a good and experienced old age.
