You are a government official and along with your team of subordinates you have conceptualised a project whose recommendations are to be presented before the higher authorities of your Ministry. The project pertains to exploration of important minerals in the state and was the result of six months of untiring effort of your team. At the last moment your boss mentions that he will be making the presentation and you need not accompany him to the Ministry. You suspect that he wants to hog the entire credit. What will you do?

Rationale/ Reasoning Requesting your boss to let you accompany is the best course of action. He may concede.  Speaking to his higher up is another option which will help to bring the hard work done by you and unjust nature of your boss in the knowledge of higher authorities. But it is fraught with the possibility of your boss feeling slighted and adversely affecting your interpersonal relationship with him.  Accepting stoically, should be an option only if options (1) or (2) have been exercised. It should not be the first choice as it is likely to deny you your due credit.
