Multiple choice

What does the author mean by stating, “She has failed to convince the world of her power to govern” (Line 8)

Answer the question based on the following passage.

The twenty first century woman in spite of her progressive
and ambitious theories about women’s sphere of activity
has stationary housekeeping methods. Other professions
and industries have moved with gigantic strides. She shares
(5)        every responsibility of administration of the state with man
but her household seems neglected. The place where her
authority should be absolute is governed by her employees.
She has failed to convince the world of her power to govern.
If accused, she retaliates that housekeeping is neither a
(10)      profession nor a business. She devotes little thought, time
or energy to the domestic domain. Some feel it to be a
sure waste of time to devote to domestic and culinary
matters and openly boast of ignorance. Outside pleasure,
engagements, philanthropic schemes or work monopolize
(15)      their day. The outcome is rarely satisfactory. It is necessary
that whatever height a woman reaches as an entrepreneur
or an authority, she thoroughly eyes the details of her
household. That personal attention is a must to shape up
one’s domestic life, be it for a short portion of a day.
