Tonitrophobia is the abnormal fear of thunder, from Latin 'tonitru' (thunder). It often co-occurs with astraphobia (fear of lightning) and keraunophobia (fear of lightning/thunder combined). The loud, unpredictable nature of thunder triggers this phobia. Philosophobia is fear of philosophy, Scoleciphobia is fear of worms, and Papaphobia is fear of the Pope.
