Naini Tal (Nainital) is famous for its pear-shaped or tear-shaped lake in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The name 'Nainital' comes from 'Naina' meaning eye, referring to the eye-shaped lake. Bhim Tal, Nakuchia Tal, and Sat Tal are also lakes in the region but don't have the distinctive tear shape.
