The Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel (Banihal Pass) in Jammu & Kashmir is India's longest railway tunnel at approximately 11.2 km. It is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail project. Karbude tunnel (Konkan Railway) is approximately 6.5 km and was previously the longest. Sawarde and One Three Hill tunnels are significantly shorter.
